Sam is a highly experienced, quality, middle order batsman who has hit several centuries for the Club. He comfortably heads the Club’s batting averages. An attractive stroke-player with a wide range of shots, particularly strong off his legs, Sam is a tough competitor with a sound defence who can adapt his game as the situation demands.
He is an excellent wicketkeeper, especially adept at keeping to the spinners, and an accomplished fielder anywhere. Sam has a degree in journalism and has been a Brighton & Hove Albion fan for more years than he cares to remember. He plays on the right wing for Durrington RAFA in a local football league and has so far notched nine goals this season.
Sam is a earnest student of mainstream culture who wouldn’t be seen dead without a copy of The Guardian. A better leg-spinner than he thinks.
