Geoff is a mature, reliable off-spinner with good flight and loop and an excellent strike rate, averaging under 20 per wicket. Through sheer hard work and application he has become increasingly accurate and batsmen can get themselves out through being pegged back by the Wily One.
He often wins his battles with batsmen ‘in the mind’ and is mentally tough. No mug with the bat, he hit several useful innings in 2007 and his shot selection continues to improve.
A Dylan fan(atic), Geoffers is Assistant Coach to Chris Staight over the winter months and is especially good at encouraging younger players and assisting bowlers with the psychology of the game. As Senior Pro, his contribution to the team ethic is valued and his thoughts on tactics will be sought on the field. A natural humorist, he can be relied upon to defuse tense situations with a witty and wise word. Could one day be a good captain……
