Chris has many excellent qualities and as an ECB qualified cricket coach, has been the reason behind AWCC nets becoming a much more effective introduction to the game for many a newcomer to cricket.
Chris is a teacher by profession: calm, cautious, yet willing to take the odd risk (like not wearing a pullover), Chris is not easily fazed. A heavy scorer in recent years, Chris combines a very sound defence with an array of attractive shots on the off side. “Mr Reliable” can adapt his game according to the game situation and he has blossomed into an attractive batsman who is absolutely essential to the team.

He has been first choice wicketkeeper for some years and is neat, tidy and undemonstrative; possessed of a shrewd cricket brain, his bowling is very accurate and can tie teams down.
Chris is one of the main foundations of Arun Wanderers, having been there from the start and his commitment to all aspects of the Club’s development, sometimes during bleak times, has been awesome.
